Traveling Alone

I enjoy traveling alone, at least I have prior to this trip. I've met up with some friends on this trip and it's been a lot of fun. But as soon as they leave, I get a sad feeling.

I don't know why, but I'm really down when alone, lately. Probably has to do with all the stress recently, but I really have been craving human contact. In some ways, while this is a fun trip and I am enjoying myself, I sort of want to be home.

I think the key to not hitting the "down" when traveling alone is to always look forward to the next stop. There is bound to be another new and exciting "something" around the corner. In the end, when you are headed home, is the best part of all. You should know how many folks are waiting for you to hear all about your trip!

You might be right about the looking forward thing. I think the problem is that I look forward too quickly, and don't savor the moment. But I'm also not really planning the next thing. Ahh well... The next thing is in a couple of hours...

Vancouver! Next Stop.
